The Memory Train. 2008
The narrative of this piece is the acceptance of past trauma in order to move forward. The merging of two heads in a torturous pose brings the pain to the surface. The central portrait, tense and frozen evokes the peak of the torment before crossing the pain barrier. The violent red conveys the inner turmoil and its process, but the hints of glowing yellow imply the hope at the end.
